eSports Bar Association: A Non-Profit Organization Dedicated to Supporting the eSports Community

eSports is a rapidly growing industry, reaching an audience of over 250 million people!  Fortnite and League of Legends go beyond mere video games, drawing millions of fans and participants.  And, players who perform at the highest level in these eSports can earn upwards of $1 million dollars a year.

Furthermore, traditional sports organizations like the NFL, NASCAR, and online training platforms such as Zwift, all offer eSports leagues or host competitions where you can compete online for big cash prizes!

So with the eSports industry continuing to grow in popularity, players and organizers have needed to set up things like media rights, sponsorship agreements, player contracts, and other regulations.  Unique and complex legal issues have arisen, and non-profit organizations like the Esports Bar Association (EBA) have been created to dive deep into the legal eSports issues.

As a non-profit, international organization, the Esports Bar Association is dedicated to providing a forum for discussion, expertise, and professional development for practicing attorneys, law students, and other professionals in eSports.  In addition, they are helping to move eSports forward by fostering public engagement, improving business and professional standards, increasing access for underrepresented groups, encouraging legal and academic work, and advocating for sensible public policy.

Therefore, when AJ Jameel, an Associate Attorney at eSports Gaming and Law reached out to us for help in developing a new website for their non-profit that could better serve its members, we said yes!

With over 20 years of dedicated service to non-profits, we know there’s typically a small team of people that handle everything.  From conference planning to email marketing, web design and social media.

This holds true for EBA.  So, we knew we could help AJ and his team by creating a new website to better support their membership.  Here’s a few of the website build goals we’ve tackled:

  • Designed an easy-to-use website that’s more streamlined for users to navigate
  • Allow members to login and access resources through an integration with a membership plug-in, Memberful
  • Create something simple, yet professional

Got a favorite non-profit that needs help with web development and fundraising?  Drop us a line, and let’s see how we might work together.  And check out the new the Esports Bar Association website that we launched in January 2022!

I’ve had the privilege of working with Tyler at Top Rope Media throughout this process and I am continually impressed with his professionalism, quality of work, and proactiveness. He’s made everything from image selection to content creation a breeze!
